About me:
I’m Mark Richardson, your local asbestos surveyor covering Rochdale and the Greater Manchester area. As you can see from my website, I provide asbestos surveys, testing and removals, along with a compliant asbestos management plan where appropriate.
With all its risks, asbestos can be scary or at the very least inconvenient. I believe that asbestos is a serious topic but it doesn’t have to be all serious! Having a friendly and reassuring face to guide you is always a good start. I also bring decades of experience to the table and a wealth of knowledge to provide you with the best service possible.

More about me:
I currently live in Rochdale with my wife Katie and two daughters, Bella and Neve. Being available for the school run and building relationships with my local community are just two of the many reasons I founded Guard Environmental.
From 2002 to 2016 I worked as an asbestos surveyor for Tersus Group, one of the UK’s biggest providers of property compliance. Then in 2017, I adopted a different approach and set up on my own as a subcontractor.
Running my own business has given me the opportunity to broaden my work in residential and commercial asbestos surveying, testing and removals. Though I still have close ties with Tersus which take me to projects all over the UK, I enjoy being able to work closer to home.
